About Us
We are committed to fostering a strong, welcoming, and harmonious community as Cameroonians settle in the great State of Georgia. However, upon arriving in the United States, many of us encounter significant challenges, including language barriers, raising and supporting children in school, finding employment and housing, accessing essential services, transportation difficulties, and navigating cultural differences. Despite these obstacles, many Cameroonians demonstrate remarkable resilience and gratitude for the opportunity to live in the United States.
As envisioned by the founders over two decades ago, CAMCOGA was established to preserve diversity without discrimination of any kind and to unite Cameroonians in the State of Georgia under the leadership of an executive bureau elected for renewable two-year terms. As we continue to integrate successfully into American society, it is evident that our cultural identity may evolve, making it even more important to preserve and celebrate our heritage.
